6 Answers to “How long does it take?”

There’s a direct relationship between your consistent action and the speed of achieving your goal.

In this episode, I’m waxing poetic at times about a very common question I get, especially from the media.

How long does it take to lose weight? How long does it take to see results?

Whenever I’m asked these types of questions, there is a giggle inside of me because it’s always a question you should be asking yourself.


The real question is, “How long are you able to take consistent action until you get the results you want?”

Now, I will try to answer this question because I know you might be thinking, “Yeah, how long DOES it take to lose weight???” Am I right? Oh, we are creatures of comfort and really love instant gratification.

So let’s jump in here for a quick review of some of these questions. If this topic interests you, I hope you’ll take the time to watch the whole episode. There were some incredible truth bombs shared that take into consideration some things you might be unaware of. 

Before I answer these 6 questions, there are two things that rule over any question you can throw at me regarding the human body. It’s important to always remember these two things.

Thing #1

More important than anything is to understand that your success is very dependent on following a program that has been proven for your specific goals. 

You can invest tons of time and energy into reaching your goal and be “on point” for weeks on end. But that only matters if your program matches your goal. A silly example here is that if you want to run a marathon you wouldn’t take golf lessons, right? 

When it comes to changing your body in any way, the law of specificity governs if you’ll see results or not. You must follow a program specific to your goals.

If you’re not following a program specific to your goals, you may never reach that goal.

Thing #2

Now that you’ve got the perfect program for your goal, the next consideration is where many women go wrong.

The best program in the world cannot make up for inconsistency in your actions.

The human body loves consistency. It’s the key to making transformation effortless. All you have to do is get your body used to a certain way of being, and it will stay put unless you introduce a new way of being.

The longer you stay consistent, the better (and faster) your results will be.
